All of our wines are vinified and aged without sulphites.
A minimal dose of sulphur is added around April/May when bottling occurs.
AOP Saumur Blanc
This white Saumur reveals a bouquet of white flowers and exotic fruits, with discreet citrus fruit undertones. The aromatic character is upheld by freshness and fullness in the mouth.
Straightforward, it combines roundness and suppleness. A perfect sharing wine!
Ideal to drink with friends as an aperitif, this wine goes perfectly with seafood, shellfish, fish and fresh cheese.
Varietal: 100% Chenin
Age of vines: 30 to 45 years
Soil type: “Tuffeau” or tufa (Turonian limestone) is predominant. Present at various depths depending on the area, it gives the wines finesse and force of character.
Yield: 50hl/ha
Production: 15 000 bottles/year
Harvest: Hand-harvested
Vinification: De-stemmed then skin maceration for 24hrs. Light pressing followed by fermentation at 18°c. Matured on lees with occasional stirring (“batonnage”).
Awards: Silver medal in the 2006 Saumur Contest.
